Minors
Minors (Structured)
Structured minors are sets of courses designed to give the student marketable skills which could enhance a competency gained in any undergraduate major. To take a structured minor which will be recorded on the transcript, the student must graduate from their undergraduate program and do the following:
- complete a statement of intent. Forms are available in the registrar’s office.
- maintain a G.P.A. of 2.0 in the required courses.
- complete a minimum of 12 credits as indicated in the chosen area of study.
- take at least 9 of the needed credits at D’Youville.
- complete at least 8 credits that do not also count as credits required by their major program. However, in some instances courses taken for a minor may also be used to satisfy liberal arts and science electives.
A minor will be automatically dropped if not complete at the time of graduation if all efforts to contact the students have not been returned.
