Latin Honors for Undergraduate Student Graduation

D'Youville University awards Latin Honors at graduation based on the cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) earned in coursework completed at D'Youville University, provided at least 60 graded undergraduate credit hours have been earned at the institution. The honors distinctions are as follows:

3.46 cum laude
3.70 magna cum laude
3.90 summa cum laude

To be eligible for Latin Honors, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Complete a minimum of 60 undergraduate credit hours of graded coursework at D’Youville University.

  • Only undergraduate coursework is considered; graduate coursework is not included.

  • Courses taken on a Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory (S/U) basis and challenge examinations do not count toward the required 60 hours or the GPA calculation for honors eligibility.

Note for Transfer Students:
Transfer students must also meet the 60-credit requirement of graded undergraduate coursework at D’Youville to qualify for honors at graduation.
