Fresh Start Rule
- An undergraduate student who re-enrolls at D’Youville University after an absence of five (5) or more years may petition the Registrar to re-evaluate all coursework attempted in the student’s previous residency. If the petition is approved, all courses taken will remain on the permanent record. Those with grades of C- or higher or S (satisfactory) will be counted for credit; all others will not.
- If the petition is approved, the student resumes his/her academic program with no cumulative grade point average and, therefore, is subject to the conditions of warning, probation and dismissal that govern all students.
- Under the provisions of this rule a student prior to graduation must be re-enrolled for a minimum of 30 credit hours.
- All courses ever taken at D’Youville University will be used in the calculation of the cumulative grade point average required for graduation with honors.
